LEHIGH VALLEY WEATHER

RIDE FOR FREEDOM

The annual Ride for Freedom will be seen all over the Lehigh Valley May 2 delivering care packages to military families.

The care package contains several items, but the key is a letter letting families know about a network of supporters who are ready to assist military families who have a family member deployed. This year the Ride for Freedom has expanded and will be joined by the National Motorcycle Clubs of Warriors Watch and The Black Sheep. The amount of support in the network has also grown with many new individuals and businesses pledging to aid local military families.

One unique feature of this ministry is when a need arises, the network is contacted and whoever can meet the need responds. It is a grass-roots support ministry so everything goes directly to the soldiers and their families.

If you would like to add your military family to the support list, join the ride or join the network of supporters, post to the Facebook page www.facebook.com/rideforfreedom.lehigh or contact Scotty Coyle at scoyle@bethanyumchurch.com.

The Ride for Freedom is hosted by Bethany Church and will depart from the parking lot at 3801 Brookside Road, Macungie, 9:15 a.m. May 2. There will be a pig roast for the riders and volunteers following the ride.
