To the Editor:
With great pleasure, the Friends of the Emmaus Public Library announces our 17th annual used book sale, April 25 in the cafeteria of Lower Macungie Middle School, raised over $12,400 to benefit the Emmaus Public Library, bringing the cumulative total of our book sale revenues to more than $132,000.
This great success was made possible by the efforts of a host of volunteers who helped to plan, set up, staff and tear down after the book sale.
Special thanks go to R.L. Reppert, who has generously provided trucks and staff every year to transport books from the library to the sale, and back again.
A big thank you, too, to staff from the Borough of Emmaus who helped with truck loading on Friday. A special shout out to students from LMMS, who provided terrific assistance, as well as the LMMS maintenance staff.
The Friends are grateful for the support of The Nutrition Group, the food service provider of the East Penn School Districts, for coordinating its Nutrition, Health and Safety Fair on the day of our sale. We are indebted to the East Penn School District and the administration of LMMS for providing an outstanding venue for the sale.
