Whitehall-Coplay School District Column
The 2015 Zephyr boys' basketball camp will be held June 29 to July 2, 9 a.m.-2:45 p.m., at the high school.
For boys entering third through ninth grades, the camp is designed to teach the fundamentals of basketball, hone team and individual skills and have fun. Each day will include instruction, games, skill building, lectures and competitions.
Boys will be grouped according to age, size and ability.

Twin Day at Gockley is scheduled for Tuesday, April 28. This is another school spirit day for students and staff. Dress up like a teacher, staff member or your friend. Everyone will be seeing double!

School will be in session on May 4. This was to be a teacher professional development day but will now be a school day for students.
The last day of school for students will now be Thursday, June 18.
Graduation remains June 12 at Stabler Arena.
Professional development days for teachers will be June 19, June 22 and June 23.
If there are any additional school days that need to be made up, they will also be added to the end of the year.

PSSAs are under way. Please be sure your child is getting a good night's rest and eating a good breakfast.
Attendance and being on time for school is very important, too.

The middle school and high school's small ensemble concert is scheduled for Wednesday, April 29, 7 p.m., at the high school.

The spring Whitehall-Coplay Middle School open house will be held on Thursday, April 30 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
This is the first opportunity for eighth-grade students to purchase tickets for the eighth-grade farewell dance.
This night is also a nice opportunity for community interest groups to provide information for next year's high school freshman class.

Please note that the first day of school for 2015-16 will be Monday, Aug. 31. It is very important that students begin the school year on time to learn classroom orientation and routines. Parents and guardians are asked to consider this when making vacation arrangements.
