The massive flag, donated by state Rep. Gary Day, R-187th, is 9 feet wide by 12 feet long and will permanently be on display in the school's gymnasium.
To commemorate the unfurling of the flag, a small ceremony will take place in the gym.
Day and school officials, will cut the ribbon on the school's new stars and stripes and a school music group will perform.
Student essays about the importance of the American flag will be read and a brief Tiger Vision exclusive (NW Elementary TV show) about the American flag's history will be aired.
"The new flag will serve as a reminder to students of our nation's history and as a symbol of American pride," said Principal Maria Pulli, as she discussed the importance of this new flag.
