Fogelsville orthodontist wins top dentist award

Fogelsville Orthodontist Dr. John Patrick Sadowski, DMD, was recently awarded the 2014 Philadelphia Top Rated Dentist Award.

"It was very gratifying to be nominated and win," Sadowski said. "I learned about the award when I received a phone call and the representative informed me I was nominated to receive this recognition."

Sadowski, board certified with the American Board of Orthodontics, has been an orthodontist since 1997.

"Orthodontists use braces and other appliances to align teeth for the purpose of creating a healthier dentition and pleasing smile," he said. "I specialize in orthodontics, treatments with braces, clear aligners and appliances to help patients with temporo mandibular joint.

"Most of my patients are through word of mouth."

Sadowski, who was raised near New Smith-ville, is a 1988 graduate of Northwestern Lehigh High School.

He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Natural Science from Muhlenberg College in 1993, his dental degree from Temple University and his orthodontics training at the Medical College of Virginia.

Sadowski, whose office has been at 7801 Main St., Fogelsville, for a decade, has 10 employees.

"My office in Fogels-ville is run differently than most offices in the Lehigh Valley," he said. "We are a small office and it is a goal of ours to get to know all our patients personally and make it a friendly place."

Hours at the Fogelsville office vary from early morning to one evening a week, either on a Thursday or Friday.

"Four days a week, I am at my Pottsville office, 347 Pottsville/St. Clair Highway," Sadowski said.

Sadowski, wife Lisa and sons Bryce, 10; and Trae, 8; live in Pottsville.
