Accident

investigation

State police are investigating a traffic accident April 14 in Upper Milford Township in which two people were seriously injured.

A vehicle traveling northbound on Chestnut Street about 1:58 p.m. lost control for an unknown reason. A second vehicle was southbound behind two other vehicles. The northbound vehicle struck the southbound vehicle near the driver side door. Both vehicles went off the road and both drivers had to be extricated from the vehicles by first responders. Both drivers were taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital.

The drivers were not identified by police.

Agencies responding to the accident scene included Macungie EMS, Emmaus EMS, Upper Milford Fire Company, Upper Milford Western District Fire Company, Lower Macungie Fire Department and the Emmaus Fire Department.

According to a press release, witnesses to the accident reported a dark colored pickup truck with two tall antennas in the vicinity of the collision. Police are requesting the driver of the pickup truck contact police.

Anyone who may have witnessed the collision or have information about the accident is asked to contact Pennsylvania State Police at 610-395-1438.

Burglary

Reported by a resident of a home along Bridlepath Drive, Lower Macungie Township, unknown actors forcibly entered the residence and took jewelry and personal items between 8:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. April 9. Anyone with information may contact Pennsylvania State Police at 610-395-1438.

Identity theft

Reported by a resident in the 5000 block of Yale Place, Lower Macungie Township, 8 a.m. April 6, when the resident attempted to file an online tax return, the form was rejected because an unknown actor used the resident's social security number and other personal information to file an federal tax return. The resident did not suffer any financial loss.

Reported by a resident of the 2800 block of Parkview Circle, Lower Macungie Township, 1:32 p.m. April 7 an unknown actor filed a fraudulent tax return in the resident's name.

Drug possession

Terrell Dwight Roper, 38, of Easton, was charged with possession of drugs after a small amount of marijuana and associated drug paraphernalia allegedly were found by police during a traffic stop along Interstate 78 eastbound, Upper Saucon Township, 11:55 p.m. April 10. Charges were filed through District Court 31-3-03.

Harassment

Brandy Marie Cichocki, 40, of Allentown, was charged with harassment after she allegedly struck a 50-year-old male in the face and kicked him during a verbal altercation at a residence in the 4000 block of Hess Circle, Lower Macungie Township, 11:02 a.m. April 6. Charges were filed through District Court 31-3-02.

DUI

Adam James Whitman, 39, of Emmaus, was charged with allegedly driving under the influence after a motor vehicle collision along Interstate 78 West between mile markers 56.7 and 56.6, Salisbury Township, 11:41 p.m. March 21. Charges were filed in District Court 31-1-08.

Scorpio Roe McPherson, 33, of Allentown, was taken into custody and charged with suspicion of driving under the influence after an alleged traffic stop at the intersection of Lower Macungie Road and Brookside Road, 1:47 a.m. April 9. Charges were filed through District Court 31-3-02.

False alarms

Premier Mortgage, 4610 Hamilton Blvd., Lower Macungie Township, was cited for control of alarm device and automatic dialing devices after four false alarms were made to police within 12 months after police responded to the business 2:05 a.m. April 13.

Criminal mischief

Reported by a resident in the 4300 block of Indian Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, unknown actors used an unknown object to do $250 in damage to a mailbox between 7 p.m. April 28 and 7:30 a.m. May 6, 2014.
