Members of the Salisbury High School debate team, including left to right, Katherine Kenyon, Marisa Butillo, Ben Wiener, Carolyn Boulay and Kierra Burda take first place recently in the Lehigh Valley Interscholastic Debate Association competition. Eight school districts participate in LVIDA. Salisbury won the final, semifinals and tournament for the 2014-2015 season. The team won the final by arguing the positive side in "affirmative action in college admissions." The team is coached by social studies teacher Michael Barna. The team holds early morning practices before school.
