Esther "Nanny" Groller celebrates her 105th birthday April 12 at Burgers and More in the Sands Casino, Bethlehem, complete with a surprise birthday cake, balloons, an autographed picture of chef Emeril Lagasse and an autographed cookbook by the famous chef. Groller was born Esther Bertha Ahner in Mauch Chunk April 12, 1910. Groller was also presented with a legislative citation by state Rep. Ryan Mackenzie, R-134th, at a party at the Wescosville Recreation Center April 11. Groller loves baking blueberry pies and shared her secrets of living a long and healthy life. "Drink black coffee all day, no smoking, no alcohol and hard work. Do not sit around."
