Truck hits tree, wall in Heidelberg Twp

Ryan M. Sellars, 19, of Schnecksville, was driving a 1997 Ford F-150 pickup west on Lake View Street, Heidelberg Township, when the truck struck a tree and brick wall at 5260 Lake View, 3 a.m. March 31, State Police Troop M Bethlehem say.

According to police, Sellars apparently failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway and the truck traveled off the left side of the road and went into a yard.

The truck then struck a tree and a brick wall before continuing into a neighboring yard and hitting a light pole.

Police say the truck then traveled north and struck a 1989 Plymouth Breeze, legally parked on Lake View Street.

After striking the car, the truck traveled across the roadway and hit a 2011 KIA Sportage, legally parked in a driveway.

The truck then began traveling west again and struck a light pole and then hit a 2014 Hyundai SUV, legally parked in another driveway, police say.

According to police, Sellars fled the scene in his truck, but was located a short distance away in his driveway.

Sellars, who was wearing his seat belt, was uninjured, police say.

Citations regarding this crash were filed with District Judge Rod Beck, Slatington.
