Northampton Area Middle School eighth-grade teacher Michael Seng recently was caught off guard.
Seng, who teaches history, was awarded the 100.7 WLEV Teachers Apple Award March 26.
"What a surprise!" Seng said. "I am thankful and honored."
Eighth-grade student Isabella Mangos nominated Seng.
"Mr. Seng has made learning fun, enjoyable and very interesting," Isabella said. "He served our country in the United States military and for that I am thankful."
WLEV radio personality Josh Gears presented Seng with a commemorative plaque and 100.7 WLEV T-shirt.
