Joann R. Adams, 75, of Slatington, died March 31, 2015, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

Born Aug. 23, 1939, in New Tripoli, she was the daughter of the late Wilmer G. Blose and Catherine F. (Schumaker) Blose Smith.

She faithfully and honorably served her country in the U.S. Army as a stenographer during a peacetime era.

Employed in the administrative offices of Lehigh County for 35 years, she retired in 2000.

During those years, she also worked part time as a waitress at the Bake Oven Inn, Germansville.

She was a member of the United Church of Christ congregation of Heidelberg Union Church, Heidelberg Township.

Her survivors include children Maria M. Beltz and her husband, Wesley, Sandi R. Herman and Ronald E. Adams all of Slatington; siblings Gerald Blose and his wife, Rita, of Allentown, Nancy Wanamaker and her husband, Harlan, of Slatington, Marlene Blose and her husband, Dale, of Schnecksville and Ronald Smith and his wife, Donna, of New Tripoli; granddaughters Allison and Laura Beltz; many nieces and nephews; and beloved granddog, Jager.
