Heavy equipment operators last week began site work on the tract of land at Krocks Road and Route 222 Bypass, Wescosville, which will eventually become the Hamilton Crossing lifestyle shopping center and home of the Lehigh Valley's first Costco warehouse store. Other tenants are slated to be a Whole Foods supermarket, Target and Dick's Sporting Goods. In all, 33 retailers are planned at the site, including six to eight restaurants. The Goldenberg Group of Montgomery County and Tim Harrison of Staten Island, N.Y., the developers of the project, say the Lower Macungie Township shopping center will open in July 2016.
