Lehigh Carbon Community College (LCCC) and the Lehigh and Carbon counties Offices of Veterans Affairs hold a free Veterans and Families Symposium, 8 a.m. April 11, Lisa Scheller-Wayne Woodman Community Services Center, LCCC main campus, 4525 Education Park Drive, Schnecksville, North Whitehall Township.

The one-day event offers veteran-focused sessions such as understanding how to navigate benefits, educational opportunities and healthcare. Participating sponsors will have resource tables and will include companies seeking veteran employees.

Registration and a free continental breakfast begins at 8 a.m. An opening ceremony is at 9 a.m. Army veteran and CEO of First Generation William E. Carmody is keynote speaker. Lunch is provided free of charge. There's a roundtable discussion and question and answer session 2 - 3 p.m.
