Scott Berman, M.D., an adult and geriatric psychiatrist, will be the featured speaker in the the Phyllis Ringel Memorial Lecture May 3 at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest.

Sponsored by Jewish Family Service of the Lehigh Valley, the lecture will be presented in Room 6 in the Kasych Family Pavillion. The free lecture will focus on successful aging in the Lehigh Valley.

Berman earned his medical degree at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine and did his psychiatric residency at Hahnemann University Hospital, Philadelphia. He was the director of an acute care psychiatry inpatient unit in Connecticut and an adjunct professor of pharmacology at Connecticut College of Pharmacy. He came to the Lehigh Valley in 1996 to practice geriatric psychiatry and teach medical students and residents.
