Allentown Central Catholic's chapter of National Honor Society will host a coffeehouse April 15.
This is an annual event where students from all grades perform a musical selection.
Many students sing or play an instrument. Completely student run and organized, this annual event is one students look forward to as a chance to showcase the many talents Central's student body has to offer.
"There's a great lineup this year. I really think it'll be a great time with the talent we have coming," Johnny Veschi, one of the four organizers of the event, said.
The coffeehouse begins 6 p.m. in Masson auditorium.
A pre-prom assembly is scheduled April 16. This assembly is required for all students and parents of students who will attend the Central Catholic prom May 8 at DeSales University, Center Valley.
This assembly is presented by Central Catholic to keep students safe. This presentation is intended to educate students about different risks including drinking and driving, drug usage and other topics many high schoolers face.
These assemblies are done in an effort to help students further their understanding of the dangers and risks of abusing drugs or alcohol. The prom is a night of entertainment and celebration, however, the event should be a safe night for everyone. This pre-prom assembly is intended to help students make decisions to keep them as safe as possible.
A presentation for parents will be 6 p.m.
