The Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission recently awarded more than $100,000 in grants to organizations in the Lehigh Valley, including the nearby Da Vinci Center of Science and Technology, Inc.

Da Vinci Discovery Center of Science and Technology, Inc., Allentown, will receive $44,937. Historic Bethlehem Partnership will receive $22,481. Lehigh County Historical Society will receive $10,796. Northampton County Historical and Genealogical Society will receive $8,373. National Canal Museum, Easton, will receive $5,784 and Schwenkfelder Library and Heritage Center, Pennsburg, will receive $9,850.

The PHMC's Cultural and Historical Support Grant Program provides general operating support to eligible museums and official county historical societies in Pennsylvania.

For the 2014 to 2015 fiscal year, $1.9 million has been awarded to 121 organizations.
