Retail theft
Opia N. Cousins, 39, of Allentown, was charged with retail theft after she allegedly removed merchandise from Kohl's department store, 6900 Hamilton Blvd., Lower Macungie Township, 12:45 p.m. March 13, and left the store without paying for the merchandise. Cousins allegedly was observed by loss prevention personnel as she concealed merchandise and left the store. Cousins was located nearby and allegedly had the stolen items. Charges were filed in District Court 31-3-02.
Reported at CVS Pharmacy, 958 Krocks Road, Lower Macungie Township, two male actors took seven cans of baby formula and left the area in a gold Honda Accord Feb. 26. Anyone with information related to this incident is asked to contact Pennsylvania State Police at 610-395-1438.
Drug possession
Craig R. Jones, 28, of Allentown, was charged with drug possession after an odor of marijuana allegedly was detected coming from a vehicle when a state trooper helped Jones push his vehicle to the shoulder of Hamilton Boulevard north at the Interstate 78 overpass 10:10 a.m. March 12. According to police, a small amount of marijuana was found in the trunk of the vehicle along with drug paraphernalia. Charges were filed in District Court 31-3-02.
Harassment
Joan Brekken, 66, of Allentown, and April Sweeney, 35, of Allentown, were charged with harassment after an incident in the 4500 block of North Hedgegrow Drive, Lower Macungie Township, 11:02 a.m. March 19. According to a press release from police, Brekken claimed Sweeney backed her car into and struck her backside. Meanwhile, Sweeney claimed Brekken lunged into the rear bumper of her vehicle. Charges were filed in District Court 31-3-02.
