Willy Wonka, the owner of a magical and mysterious chocolate factory, invites the audience to join him in a world of "Pure Imagination" at Eyer Middle School 7 p.m. March 26 and 27 and 2 and 7 p.m. March 28.

Eyer's production of Roald Dahl's "Willy Wonka Junior" tells the tale of Willy Wonka. Although Wonka excels at making candy, he is ready to retire and find some "bright spark" to continue his candy confectioning.

Charlie Bucket's family is poor. They do not have enough money to buy food or warm clothes, let alone candy. Exciting news: Willy Wonka is holding a contest! The five lucky people who find golden tickets inside Wonka bars win a tour of the chocolate factory and a lifetime supply of chocolate.

Charlie buys the last winning candy bar from his neighborhood candyman and gets to tour the factory with the four other winners. The factory is filled with marvelous delights.

Unfortunately, one by one the other children give into temptation, break the rules and are ejected from the tour, while the Oompa Loompas perform songs explaining each child's moral failing.

Charlie and his grandpa taste a fizzy drink that makes them fly, but no one catches them in their mischievous act.

At the conclusion of the tour, Charlie thanks Wonka for the tour and admits to breaking the rules. Wonka proclaims Charlie as his successor as Charlie's family and the other kids (all unharmed) join them at Wonka's factory.
