Every year area teens have an opportunity to "go green" by donating their prom gowns to the YWCA Prom Dress Day hosted by the YWCA of Bethlehem.

"As you are going through your wardrobe preparing for spring, bring any prom gowns or accessories to YWCA of Bethlehem Empowerment Center, 3893 Adler Place, Building A, Suite 180, Bethlehem" Catharine Lee Kessack, director of empowerment center and development, said.

In addition to the YWCA, donations can be dropped off 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Girl Scouts of Eastern PA, 2633 Moravian Ave., Allentown through March 18.

The high school juniors and seniors get to come to the boutique and choose a dress and accessories at a small cost.
