Katherine S. Gigler recently was named the GFWC PA Woman's Club of Emmaus girl of the month for February.

Gigler was recognized for her achievements in drama.

Gigler, who plans to study communications and theater in college and is the president of the Emmaus High School Drama Department, can be seen in the EHS production of "Mary Poppins: The Musical" in the role of Mrs. Winifred Banks, the mother of Jane and Michael Banks who Mary Poppins takes under her wing.

Gigler also is a member of the EHS Chorale and the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association District Chorus.

Gigler is the beauty writer of the online fashion magazine Buzz at Emmaus High School.

She is the daughter of Christopher and Christina Gigler of Emmaus.
