Performers interested in volunteering time and talent to the annual May Day Celebration held at Lock Ridge Park, Alburtis are invited to contact Hope DeIaco at 610-966-4663. Dancers and singers of all ages and both sexes are needed.

The annual rite of spring held for over 30 years on the first Sunday in May was begun by the late Jean Stoneback, beloved by area residents through her "From My Kitchen Window" column which ran in the East Penn Press and "Storytime with Aunt Lillie" appearances at various malls. DeIaco and the pageant's choreographer, Faith Andrews, are daughters of Stoneback.

An organizational meeting will be held 7:15 p.m. March 31 at the Alburtis Campfire Cabin located at 200 Church Street.
