Emmaus Fire Chief James Reiss examines damage to the entryway at 127 Society Park Court after several area fire departments were dispatched to the Colonial Crest apartment complex about 4:30 p.m. March 2 for reports of an apartment building fire. Emmaus firefighters quickly knocked down the fire at the top of the outdoor entrance to the apartment. The four other fire companies dispatched because of the high occupancy nature of the complex were recalled. Emmaus Ambulance Corps and Emmaus police also responded.
