School will be closed March 13 for a professional development day for teachers.

The middle school's annual canned food drive will begin March 16 and run until March 20.

This has been an annual, successful event.

It also serves as a friendly competition between homerooms. The winning homeroom will be recognized.

The drive will benefit Whitehall Food Pantry and Second Harvest of the Valley.

The Whitehall Boys Basketball Team presents a Night at the Races March 28.

The event will held at the American Club in Coplay. Doors open 5:30 p.m. The races begin 7 p.m.

Ticket price includes beer, barbecue, chips and pretzels. The event is BYOB.

The fundraiser benefits the boys basketball team.

Participants will have the opportunity to buy a horse and name it for the races. Participants will also have the opportunity to place additional donations for the race.

Whitehall High School Theatre proudly presents "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying" the musical comedy.

Show dates are April 9 to 11 at 7:30 p.m. and April 12 at 2 p.m.

A dinner theater option is available April 11 at 6 p.m. Price includes catered dinner and prime seating for the show.

The Gockley Elementary School health room is in need of sweatpants (no jeans) for kindergarten and first grade students.

The school is in need of sizes six, eight and 10.
