Richard A. "Reds" Debus, 72, of Alburtis, died Feb. 27, 2015, in St. Luke's Hospital, Fountain Hill. He was the husband of Maryann (Lilly) Debus. They were married 53 years last June. Born in Fogelsville, he was the son of the late Stanley A. and Anna H. (Landis) Debus.
He was a forklift operator for Packaging Corporation, Trexlertown, for 43 years, retiring in 2005.
He was a life member and past board of governor of the Rural Sportsman's Association, Trexlertown. He also held memberships in the Breinigsville and Macungie VFW's and the Trexlertown and Fogelsville Fire Companies.
He is survived by his wife; son, Terry and his wife Susan, of Alburtis; daughters, Peggy, of Breinigsville, Cindy and her husband Howard Forman, of Santan Valley, Ariz.; brother, James C. and his wife Carol, of Emmaus; sisters, Daris A. Gross, of Breinigsville, Edna and her husband Carl Dengler, of Mertztown, Ethel Harwick, of Orefield, Fay and her husband Carl Lagler, of Zionsville and Bonnie Lee and her husband Michael Defiore, of Center Valley; grandchildren, Eric and Tracey; great-grandsons Lukus and Eli and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be held 11 a.m. March 4, Schmoyer Funeral Home, 8926 Brookdale Road, Breinigsville. Call 10 to 11 a.m.
