The Senior High Youth Group from New Life Evangelical Lutheran Church, New Tripoli, recently presented a check, as well as an additional blanket donation, to Lehigh Valley Health Network's David Prager Patient Assistance Fund.
The event took place in Lehigh Valley Hospital's John and Dorothy Morgan Cancer Center, Salisbury Township.
The fund was designed to provide non-medical expenses such as transportation to and from doctor's appointments, telephone bills, home heating and other services that could improve a patient's quality of life.
The group also collected 85 pony tails for hair donation to Locks of Love as well as an additional $2,300.
