Terroristic threats
Pennsylvania State Police were called to Lehigh Career and Technical Institute, 4500 Education Park Drive, North Whitehall Township, 2:05 p.m. Feb. 6 after a suspicious object was found. Police evacuated students and personnel as a safety precaution while police investigated the scene. The object was found to be safe and was removed. An unnamed juvenile is a suspect in the incident, according to a press release from police. The investigation by Pennsylvania State Police Bethelehem continues.
DUI
Bradley Alan Folger, 30, of Macungie, was taken into custody and charged with suspicion of driving under the influence after a two-vehicle accident in the 4900 block of Buckeye Road, Upper Milford Township, just after midnight Feb. 8. According to police, a vehicle was slowing as it pulled off of the right shoulder of Buckeye Road in front of a residence in the 4900 block of Buckeye Road when Folger allegedly attempted to pass the slowing vehicle on the left. Folger allegedly struck the rear of what police describe as a"trailing unit" of the slowing vehicle. Folger's vehicle became airborne, overturned and rolled onto its left side. The vehicle traveled about 20 feet on its left side before returning to an upright position and stopped facing south. Other first responders included Emmaus EMS, Lower Milford Fire Department and Hausers Towing. Charges were filed in District Court 31-1-03.
Vicki Rae Miller, 55, of Allentown, was taken into custody for allegedly driving her vehicle under suspicion of driving under the influence of a controlled substance after a traffic stop along State Route 222 southbound, south of Krocks Road, Lower Macungie Township, 3:24 p.m. Jan. 21. Charges were filed through District Court 31-3-02.
James T. Cabbell, 43, of Allentown, was taken into custody for suspicion of driving under the influence after a two-vehicle accident along Chestnut Street, just south of Indian Creek Road, Upper Milford Township, around 6:55 p.m. Jan. 21. Cabbell allegedly was traveling southbound when his vehicle crossed over the double yellow line and struck a northbound vehicle.
Criminal mischief
Reported in a parking lot at Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, an unknown actor pushed a shopping cart into a vehicle causing minor scratches around 4:40 p.m. Feb. 4. Anyone with information may contact Pennsylvania State Police at 610-395-1438.
Theft
Glorivee Figueroa-Rivera, 31, of Allentown, is accused of allegedly taking a wallet, cellphone and several items belonging to a co-worker while the two were at work at a business at 7570 Industrial Way, Lower Macungie Township, 9:30 a.m. Feb. 3. Charges of theft and related offenses are pending.
Retail theft
Reported at Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, an unknown actor concealed various items valued at $400 and fled the store without paying for the items 3:54 p.m. Feb. 7. The investigation continues.
Reported at Kohl's department store, 6900 Hamilton Blvd., Lower Macungie Township, an unnamed juvenile took $63.37 worth of jewelry 9:10 a.m. Feb. 10. Charges were filed through District Court 31-3-02.
Disorderly conduct
Nevin Richard Hamm, 32, of Bethlehem, was cited for disorderly conduct after he allegedly refused police orders after he was stopped for operating a bicycle along Interstate 78 westbound at the U.S. Route 222 overpass, Lower Macungie Township, 5:23 p.m. Feb. 7.
Identity theft
Reported by a resident of Pioneer Drive, Lower Macungie Township, an unnamed actor used personal and credit card information to change the resident's credit account. The action was detected and the attempt was declined by the bank. The police investigation continues.
Drug possession
Charles Carter, Jr., 35, of Roselle, N.J., was arraigned for drug possession after an alleged traffic violation along Interstate 78 at State Route 22, Lower Macungie Township, 4:22 p.m. Jan. 28. Police found Carter allegedly had marijuana and associated paraphernalia at the time. Carter was transported to Lehigh County Center Booking Center for processing and arraignment.
Theft from motor vehicle
Reported along Hillcrest Drive, Lower Macungie Township, 1:58 a.m. Feb. 17, unknown actors entered a commerical work van and removed numerous tools.
