To the Editor:

Retired Emmaus Fire Chief Robert R. Reiss has faithfully served the citizens of the borough of Emmaus for many years.

He successfully guided the merger of the former three fire companies into the Emmaus Fire Department, gave leadership to the Emmaus Central Station, Emmaus Emergency Management Response Team, Emmaus Training Grounds and served in many areas of top rated fire service in Lehigh County, Pennsylvania and beyond, and has gone far beyond his service as Fire Chief and served in many capacities as a volunteer in the life and well-being of the Emmaus community.

We, the citizens of the Borough of Emmaus desire to honor and thank him as a tribute to his leadership, sacrifice, trust and dedication.

Be it resolved that as a grateful tribute of honor, respect and esteem Robert R. Reiss, Retired, be the Fire Chief, Emeritus of the Borough of Emmaus, and that this honor is afforded him by the citizens of Emmaus.
