With the many recent snowstorms, changes have been made to Emmaus' spring break.
So far, the district has used five snow days. With only two built-in days, three days must be made up.
Feb. 13 was used as a makeup day and now April 2 and 6, of spring break have been added as make-up days. If there are any more snow days, days will be added onto the end of the year, starting with June 9.
Spring sports are right around the corner. The first day of practices and tryouts begins March 2.
Students are reminded to turn in all physical forms to the athletic office before try-outs. If papers are not turned in, the student will not be able to participate.
The spring musical, "Mary Poppins," will be performed March 17 to 22. On March 17, there will be a dinner in the cafeteria followed by the show. The dinner and show are free for any Gold Card members. Otherwise, there is a charge for the spaghetti dinner and tickets are available at the door. The dinner begins at 4 p.m. and the show begins 6 p.m.
On March 13, the Emmaus track and field team will host the Shave for the Brave event to raise money for childhood cancer. Come support the shave-ees or make a donation to St. Baldrick's Foundation.
