Feb. 19

Lehigh Valley Beekeepers Association meeting 7 p.m. at the Lehigh County Ag Center, 4184 Dorney Park Road, Allentown. Professor of Biology at Kutztown University, Dr. Robyn Underwood, will review her work on "green beekeeping" at The Rodale Institute. Underwood's classroom/community work also focuses on aiding beekeepers in managing honey bee pests and diseases as well as documenting winter losses across the country. Emmaus Historical Society meets and celebrates their 23rd anniversary 7 p.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church, Emmaus. The program for the evening is "Emmaus 1959 Centennial, Part II." For more information, call 610-966-6591.

Feb. 21

Join the Lower Macungie Library for "Cherries, Chocolate and Jazz" 7:30 to 9:30 p.m., an evening of food and jazz. Appetizers, desserts and beverages are provided with music by the Kutztown University Jazz Quartet. There is a charge. Tickets may be purchased through Feb. 14 and are not available for purchase at the door. Proceeds benefit the Lower Macungie Library. Used book sale and bake sale at Seven Generations Charter School, 154 Minor St., Emmaus 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Young Musicians of the Allentown Music Club will host a recital 4 p.m. at Jacob's Music Store, 2223 MacArthur Road, Whitehall. New members are welcome. The event is open to students six to 18 who are currently studying with a private teacher and wish to showcase their talents on a musical instrument and/or voice. Emmaus Main Street Partners "Where To Be Mixology" event at Jarrett Design, 312 Main St., Emmaus, 5 to 7 p.m. Preregistration is appreciated by calling 610-965-6279 or email jessicao@ emmausmainstreet.com. In addition to food, drink and socializing, guests are encouraged to seek solutions to their design challenges during the event.

Join the Colonial Kids Club at Jerusalem Western Salisbury Church, 3441 Devonshire Road, Allentown. Activities 9 to 10:30 a.m. include dancing, singing, costume creation, storytelling, games and baking. Admission is free and space is limited. RSVP by Feb. 24 by calling 610-295-7691.
