Theft reported

at wireless tower

According to a report received Feb. 8, State Police Troop M Fogels-ville say AT&T and Verizon Wireless told police the wireless tower site in the 7000 block of Herber Road, Lowhill Township, was accessed sometime between Aug. 7 and Dec. 24, 2014, and busbars and downleads were stolen.

The loss is approximately $750, police say.

Car hits guardrail

in Heidelberg Twp

According to a police report received Feb. 3, State Police Troop M Bethlehem say Herbert G. Hullinger, 84, of Germansville, was driving a 2007 Saturn Aura south on Route 309, just north of the intersection with Newside Road, Heidelberg Township, when it struck a guardrail around 10:30 a.m. Jan. 18.

Police say the driver's side rear wheel area hit the end of the guardrail off the west shoulder of the roadway.

After impact, the car came to a final rest on the shoulder facing south.

Neither Hullinger nor his passenger, Dorla D. Hullinger, 82, of Germansville, who police say were wearing seat belts, were injured.
