Bobby Schantz and Dave Adam went over to Wehr's Dam with groundhogs Jahde and grandson Lee on Feb. 4 after freezing rain canceled the event scheduled for Groundhog Day.

The groundhog did not see his shadow at Wehr's Dam, Adam said.

Jahde and grandson Lee predict February will be cold. But then in March, the weather will start to warm up.

By the middle of March, gardeners can start thinking about planting peas in their garden.
