Lehigh County Executive Tom Muller was in the audience for the Feb. 5 Upper Milford supervisors meeting.
Muller told supervisors he has visited meetings at the other 24 county municipalities. The meeting was his first visit to Upper Milford Township in his efforts to see what is really going on at the local level.
At Upper Milford Feb. 9, Muller did not see much.
After spending almost all of their workshop meeting in executive session to discuss personnel issues, supervisors conducted the rest of the night's business in just seven minutes.
There are now vacancies on two township boards. Township Manager Daniel DeLong informed supervisors Sarah Whitney has resigned from the open space committee. Her term was due to expire January 2018.
"She deserves our thanks," Chairman George DeVault said.
DeVault then announced the agricultural security board needs a new member. The work is not very demanding, he said. The board met last week for the first time in several years.
Anyone interested in applying for either position can contact the township office.
The only other issue was a question raised by resident James Krippe who asked the township website be updated.
