New Tripoli couple

celebrate 60th anniversary

Charles J. and Shirley (Ney) Rauch of Valley View Farm, New Tripoli, Lynn Township, celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary Jan. 15.

The couple, who met as teenagers while roller skating, have been successful farmers.

They were married Jan. 15, 1955, in Schuylkill Haven, Schuylkill County.

They are the parents of five daughters: Susan Mannino of New Tripoli; Pamela Zoghby and her husband, David, of New Tripoli; Wendy LeVan and her husband, the Rev. James, of Slatington; Heidi Hambrick and her husband, Marcus, of Fogelsville, and Starr Peluso and her husband, Paul, of Pennsburg.

They also have three sons: Terry and his wife, Charlene, of Telford; John and his wife, Lorrie, of New Tripoli, and Taylor and his wife, Christine, of Allentown.

The Rauchs have 22 grandchildren, two great-granddaughters and a third grandchild on the way.
