Charges pending

against driver

State Police Troop M Fogelsville say Andrew C. Watson of New Tripoli was allegedly seen committing a summary traffic violation 2:14 a.m. Feb. 1 on Owl Valley Road, in the area of Hummingbird Road, Lynn Township.

A traffic stop was conducted and Watson allegedly exhibited signs of intoxication, police say.

Watson was transported to Lehigh County Prison where a blood draw was conducted.

Police say charges are pending against Watson.

Man receives

fraudulent IRS call

A 43-year-old man from the 5800 block of Route 873, Washington Township, reported to police he received a call from an individual saying he was from the IRS and requesting money 11 a.m. Jan. 31, say State Police Troop M Bethlehem.

Police say the man did not send any money and notified them.

Adam Scot Kurtzworth, 35, of Vero Beach, Fla, was allegedly parked in a posted no parking area 7:10 a.m. Jan. 30 on the I-78 West on-ramp from Route 863, Weisenberg Township, say State Police Troop M Fogelsville.

Police allege an odor of marijuana was detected coming from Kurtzworth's commercial motor vehicle.

A probable cause search of the CMV allegedly produced a small amount of marijuana, police say.

Charges were filed with District Judge Rod Beck, Slatington.

Police seek info

on hit, run driver

Upper Macungie Township police are looking for a white male in his 60s with salt and pepper hair and beard.

He was driving a newer model, black, 4-door Jeep.

There would be damage to the right side of the front bumper on the Jeep.

The man was involved in a hit-and-run motor vehicle accident on Tilghman Street at the Route 22 underpass 4:50 p.m. Feb. 2.
