If you've stepped up for the bucket challenge, make way for the streak challenge.
No, they are not talking about the 1970s phenomenon of streaking. They're talking about a green streak in your hair.
The event, to honor Mr. Kim Davis, takes place 6-8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 10, in the high school cafeteria. The snow date is Feb. 11.
Davis, a 30-year veteran teacher and lifelong resident of Northampton, is battling lymphoma. A portion of the proceeds from the event will benefit the special needs of the pediatric cancer hospice patients within the Lehigh Valley Hospital Network.
Staffed by students and high school faculty, the event will feature the Bryant Brothers Band, a classic rock group popular in the Lehigh Valley, along with a bake sale and family friendly activities.
Individuals wishing to contribute but unable to attend can send donations made out to LVHN/Hospice fund to Linda Deurer, 6112 Creek Road, Slatington, 18080.
