Threat
The Salisbury Township Police Department was made aware of an inappropriate posting on the social media site Instagram Jan. 26 by concerned students and parents. The department immediately began an investigation of the matter, while maintaining an increased police presence and tightened security. Superintendent Randy Ziegenfuss notified parents and said at no time were students or staff in danger. The students involved in this incident were identified that same day and will be disciplined according to school policy. The police department will also take appropriate action once the investigation is concluded.
Forgery/
counterfeiting
Lidia Burgos, 25, of Reading, was charged with two counts of forgery after allegedly forging her name on Lehigh Valley Health Network - Cedar Crest paperwork 3:19 p.m. Jan. 26. She was taken to Central Booking for processing.
Burglary
A resident in the 800 block of Lawrence Street reported a burglary 6:49 p.m. Jan. 27. An unknown actor opened a basement door and removed jewelry and a laptop valued at $300.
Disorderly conduct
Zachary Kressler, 20, of Allentown, received a summary citation for disorderly conduct, public drunkenness and underage drinking following an incident in the 1400 block of East Emmaus Avenue 2:48 a.m. Jan. 29. Kressler allegedly was banging on the door of a home and was disoriented.
