Western Salisbury Fire Department personnel use their regular Monday night drill time to attach snow chains to an engine Jan. 26 for the expected snow blizzard which never materialized. Chief Engineer Dev Kannon (seated), and Deputy Chief Jerry Royer, said it was better to have the chains on and not need them than to have to answer a call in the night and slip around on snowy roads.
