Whitehall High School Leo Club is sponsoring a Winter Drive until Feb. 12 to help support a local shelter.

They are collecting new or used gloves, hats and blankets. Drop off items to Ms. Paules' classroom in G107 by Feb. 12.

The Whitehall-Coplay School District has started the registration process for enrolling eligible children for kindergarten for the 2015-16 school year.

A child must reach age five by Sept. 1.

Whitehall High School Theatre proudly presents "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying," the musical comedy.

Reserve your seats today by mailing a self-addressed stamped envelope to Whitehall High School Theatre, 3800 Mechanicsville Road, Whitehall, 18052.

Show dates are April 9 to 11 at 7:30 p.m. and April 12 at 2 p.m. The price is $12 for adults and seniors and students $8.

There is also a dinner theater option available April 11 at 6 p.m. Price includes catered dinner and prime seating for the show. Prices are $29 for adults and $25 for seniors and students.

The middle school student council carnation sale runs through Feb. 11.

Students, staff and parents can order a carnation and have it delivered with a special message to a special Valentine friend.

Carnations will be distributed Feb. 11. This has been an annual event and the student council has been able to raise money for various charitable groups through this event.

The Whitehall Zephrys Varsity Swim Team will host a Swim Team Benefit Night at Sam Owens Restaurant, 128 Chestnut St., Coplay, Tuesday, Feb. 3, from 4 to 9 p.m.

All proceeds will benefit the WHS Varsity Swim Team.

High school spring sports sign ups are under way.

Sign ups are taking place in the athletic office for baseball, softball, boys tennis, boys volleyball and track and field.

Students must pick up paperwork in the athletic office to participate in a spring sport.

Note that schools will be closed Feb. 13 and Feb. 16 for Presidents Day.

Feb. 13 is a possible snow make up date, if needed.
