SALISBURY TOWNSHIP POLICE DEPARTMENT

Cub Scouts with Pack 431, their leaders and parents visited the Salisbury Township Police Department Jan. 20 to learn about law enforcement.

The Scouts meet at Bethany United Methodist Church, Wescosville.

Detective Kevin Kress welcomed the visitors to the station and gave the Scouts an idea of what police officers do for the community.

He explained the gear officers wear and discussed situations where police officers can help the boys and their families.

Kress told the boys never to be afraid to call the police if they are scared or nervous about a situation.

Following a tour of the station, Kress took the Scouts to the parking lot to see a police car, complete with lights and sirens.
