The Emmaus girls basketball team took on two of the top three teams in the Eastern Pennsylvania Conference and lost both of them last week.
The Hornets travelled to Nazareth on Friday night and fell, 71-40. The Eagles took a 10-point lead into halftime then started the third quarter with a 10-0 run to stretch their lead to 42-22.
Tessa Brugler led Nazareth with 16 points. Emmaus' Kiyae White had 14.
Last Tuesday Emmaus fell to Central Catholic, 49-30. Olivia Roseman led the Vikettes with 15 points. Kiyae White had 13 for Emmaus.
At 5-13 overall and 3-9 in the EPC, Emmaus will finish a few wins short of a District 11 playoff berth.
