Jan. 29

The Upper Milford Historical Society will hold its monthly meeting 7 p.m. in the Upper Milford Township building, Old Zionsville. Frank Willis will talk about flintlocks of the American frontier. Willis has done extensive research into the gear necessary for life on the frontier. Everyone is welcome to the society's meetings, which are held the last Thursday of the month, except for November and December. Refreshments will be served. Feb. 5

Allentown AARP Chapter #5415 will meet noon at St. Timothy's Church, 140 S. Ott St., Allentown. Ken Purcell and Bruce Gaston will entertain. Non-members and guests are welcome. Delaware-Lehigh Amateur Radio Club will hold its meeting 7:30 p.m. in the Bethlehem Township Community Center, 2900 Farmersville Road, Bethlehem. The program is "Library Science," presented by Easton Library Director Jennifer Stocker. Members and interested general public are welcome. The Lehigh Valley Chapter of Executive Women International monthly meeting at the Prime Steakhouse, State Park Road, Bethlehem. The guest speaker is Nolan Santos with Faulkner Chevy and Cadillac who will offer tips on winterizing a car and staying safe in winter driving conditions. Feb. 6

The Emmaus Historical Society hosts the "Winter Wonderland" event 5 to 9 p.m. and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Feb. 7. The event will feature vintage winter displays and photos of local blizzards. Exhibits continue through March 7.

Feb. 21

Join the Lower Macungie Library for "Cherries, Chocolate and Jazz" 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. for an evening of food and jazz. Appetizers, desserts and beverages are provided with music by the Kutztown University Jazz Quartet. There is a charge. Tickets may be purchased through Feb. 14 and are not available for purchase at the door. Proceeds benefit the Lower Macungie Library.
