Fire crews from Emmaus and Western Salisbury fire departments responded to a reported dwelling fire in the 400 block of Alpine Drive in Emmaus around 5:40 a.m. Jan. 24.
First arriving units from the Emmaus Police Department reported a fire in the garage.
Emmaus fire engine 7-12 responded immediately and requested a second alarm, bringing additional engines and a rapid intervention team from Alburtis.
Firefighters from the first engine found heavy fire coming from three of the four bays in a detached garage.
Crews were able to keep the fire from spreading into the fourth garage bay, however, the other three bays apparently were totally destroyed.
Several cars also were lost in the fire. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
There were no injuries reported.
Rehabilitation crews from Emmaus Ambulance also were on the scene.
