Driver arrested
in Washington Twp
According to a police report received Jan. 20, State Police Troop M Bethlehem say George Woodrow Wotring, 51, of Slatington, was investigated for allegedly committing multiple traffic violations 11:13 p.m. on Dec. 19, 2014, along Main Street, Washington Township.
Police allege Wotring displayed signs of alcohol intoxication and was subsequently arrested for driving under the influence.
Charges were filed with District Judge Rod Beck, Slatington.
Driver charged
with DUI
According to a police report received Jan. 12, State Police Troop M Fogelsville say Dannyfer Feliz, 24, of Reading, was charged with driving under the influence and related offenses as he was allegedly driving under a DUI suspended license 2:54 a.m. Dec. 28, 2014 on I-78, Weisenberg Township.
He was charged after troopers pulled over to offer their assistance when his vehicle became disabled on the side of the highway.
Police allege when troopers stopped to offer assistance, they discovered he was allegedly driving under the influence.
Two men detained
in Heidelberg Twp
State Police Troop M Bethlehem say two men were detained at 1 p.m. Jan. 2 after they were allegedly seen at a home for sale in the 5000 block of Mill Road, Heidelberg Township.
The house is listed with Heritage Real Estate, Bethlehem.
Police determined no criminal activity had taken place. Both men were instructed to leave and to not return.
Pedestrian hit
in Weisenberg Twp
Eric J. Creyer, 41, of Northampton, was driving a 2013 International Harvester Workstar 7600, when he allegedly hit pedestrian Donald L. Cowen, 67, of Shenandoah, Iowa, at 10:53 p.m. Jan. 6 in the parking lot of Bandit Truck Stop, 2277 Golden Key Road, Weisenberg Township.
While the tractor was traveling in the parking lot, it hit Cowen who was walking through the parking lot, police say.
Cowen sustained a fractured nose and lacerations and abrasions to both hands and knees and was transported by Cetronia Ambulance Corps to Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.
Creyer, who was wearing his seat belt, was uninjured, police say.
Trooper Matthew Tonitis assisted at the scene.
