Couple plans nuptials

Mr. and Mrs. Dean Hillegass of Zionsville and Mr. Michael Shoemaker of Macungie announce the engagement of their daughter, Ashley Lauren Shoemaker, to Thomas John Baldwin, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Ketchledge of Lehighton and Mr. and Mrs. Steven Baldwin of Zionsville.

Ms. Shoemaker is a graduate of DeSales University and Eastern University where she completed a Master of Art in counseling psychology.

She is employed by Valley Youth House and The Impact Project, Inc.

Mr. Baldwin has been employed by Prestige Marble and Granite for the past 13 years as a fabricator.

The couple met while the bride-to-be was working part time at Wally's Deli, Emmaus, a favorite lunch spot of the groom-to-be.

A wedding date has not yet been set.
