Identity theft

A resident reported to police 2:55 p.m. Dec. 30, 2014, an unknown actor attempted to use the resident's credit card on two occasions, withdrawing $400 from Walgreens in Lower Macungie. Police are investigating.

Found property

A resident in the 1000 block of Hawthorn Road found a wallet 3:56 p.m. Jan. 1 and gave it to police who were able to return it to its owner.

Hit and run

Elijah Garcia, 20, of Bath, was charged with leaving the scene of a crime, involuntary injury, driving too close and driving without a license 1:14 p.m. Jan. 4 following an accident on Interstate 78 and Cedar Crest Boulevard.

Fraud

A resident in the 1000 block of East Emmaus Avenue reported 3:37 p.m. Jan. 5 the receipt of a $1,900 check from U.S. Bank Corp. Fund Service. The resident deposited the check, purchased items and paid some bills and then found out the check was fraudulent. Police want to remind residents not to cash unsolicited checks.

Retail theft

Carlos Clavell, 24, of Allentown, was charged with retail theft following an incident at Bon-Ton, 3300 Lehigh St., 4:26 p.m. Jan. 5. Clavell allegedly altered a label on a coat and paid a lesser amount at checkout. The difference between the two coats is $285. He was taken to Central Booking for processing.

Criminal mischief

A resident in the 700 block of Public Road reported 2:52 p.m. Jan. 5 an unknown actor damaged an A & A limousine while parked in the driveway. There was a dent and chipped paint on the driver's side door.

Found

On Jan. 11, officers with the Salisbury Township Police Department were provided information relating to bones found along an embankment on Constitution Drive. Officers were able to obtain the bones and took them to the Lehigh County Coroner's office for examination. It was determined the bones were not human remains, but those from a deer.

The Salisbury Township Police Department would like to continue to encourage the public to contact them as soon as possible to report any suspicious persons or activity by calling 610-797-1447 or Lehigh County Radio at 610-437-5252.

Theft

A contractor working at Lehigh Valley Health Network - Cedar Crest reported 4:21 p.m. Jan. 6 the theft of a 55-gallon can filled with scrap wire, metal door pieces and brass and copper fittings. Police are reviewing surveillance video.
