It looks like it is time to trade the rakes and grass seed for shovels and salt. Arctic temperatures are found everywhere, so bundle up. Spring will be here before you know it.

The Alburtis Senior Citizens meet noon Jan. 21 at the Church of the Good Shepherd, Quarry Road and Penn Avenue. Games are played after lunch and a short meeting.

The Alburtis Lockridge Historical Museum is open 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Jan. 17. The museum, located at the corner of Franklin and Church streets, has a display of the history of the area covering nearly 100 years. There is no admission charge. Friday night bingo at the community center at Second and Walnut streets continues. Refreshments will be available. Doors open 5:30 p.m.; games begin 7 p.m.
