Arson

Reported by a resident of Fernwood Street, an unknown actor entered a shed and poured gasoline along the side of a residence, ignited the liquid and melted vinyl siding on the residence overnight Dec. 20, 2014. The fire went undetected and burned itself out. The investigation continues.

Burglary

Reported by a resident in the 1000 block of North Seventh Street, an un- known actor entered an occupied residence and took a wallet and purse overnight Dec. 16, 2014. The incident remains under investigation.

Reported by a resident along South Seventh Street, an unknown actor entered an apartment and took two televisions, DVDs and a tablet computer between Dec. 1 and 20, 2014. The investigation continues.

Theft from vehicle

Reported by a resident of the Colonial Crest Apartments, North 10th Street, unknown actors entered an unlocked vehicle and took a Shark vacuum cleaner between Dec. 24 and 27, 2014.

Reported by a resident in the 600 block of Ridge Street, an unknown actor entered a vehicle and took a 9 mm handgun over-night Dec. 15, 2014.

Theft

Reported at Volpe's Sports Bar, 501 Broad St., an unknown actor took a woman's wallet Dec. 7, 2014. The incident remains under investigation.

Criminal mischief

Reported by a resident of the Colonial Crest Apartments, North 10th Street, an unknown actor carved deep scratches into a vehicle overnight Dec. 12, 2014.

Reported by a resident of Keystone Avenue, an unknown actor threw black paint or tar on two vehicles overnight Dec. 15, 2014.

Reported by a resident in the 100 block of South Fifth Street, an unknown actor slashed a vehicle tire causing $200 damage overnight Dec. 21, 2014.

Driving while

suspended

Ayana Castro, 21, of New Cumberland, Cumberland County, was charged with unsworn falsification to law enforcement, false identification to law enforcement and driving while suspended after a traffic stop Dec. 5, 2014, during which she allegedly provided police officers with a fake name and identification.

Harassment

Timothy D. Ritter, 55, of Furnace Street, was charged with harassment after he allegedly was seen following his estranged wife Dec. 5, 2014. According to police, Ritter has a no contact restriction.

Disorderly conduct

Two Emmaus High School students were cited for disorderly conduct after they allegedly were involved in a fight at the school Dec. 10, 2014.
