Boys win four straight games

Since Christmas, the Salisbury boys' basketball team has been on a three-game winning streak, including four consecutive victories since December 22.

The Falcons' inaugural Holiday Classic saw the host team win both of its games en route to a championship.

The Falcons opened up the tournament with a 70-63 semifinals victory over Lincoln Leadership. Dasheen Reid's 14 points paced four Falcons in double-figure scoring.

Two days later, Bryce Fairclough's 15 points led Salisbury to a 51-40 victory in the championship game.

Those two nonleague victories brought the Falcons' out-of-conference record to 3-1.

When Salisbury returned to Colonial League play Saturday against Notre Dame (Green Pond), the momentum carried the Falcons to another victory to kick off 2015.

Saturday's 62-50 win over Crusaders puts Salisbury at 6-0 in the Colonial League. Reid led all scorers with 22 against Notre Dame. Salisbury is just one of two unbeaten teams left in the Colonial League, the other being Southern Lehigh.

Following Tuesday's game at Northwestern, the Falcons face one of their toughest stretches of the season.

After traveling to Bangor (5-1) on Saturday, the Falcons hit the road again on Tuesday to take on those unbeaten Spartans in a pivotal West Division matchup.
