Richard J. Schott, 60, of Danielsville, died Dec. 17, 2014. He was the husband of Jeanie (Werner) Schott for 40 years.

Born in Hazelton, he was a son of Louis and Ellen Schott.

He was a 1972 graduate of Allentown Central Catholic High School.

He was a police cadet for the Allentown Police Department. He then was a firefighter for the City of Allentown for 36 years until he retired as a battalion chief in 2011.

He was a member of the International Association of Fire Fighters Local 302.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children, Chrissy (Kopple), Eric and Rachael (Kessler); three grandchildren, Jake, Sydney and Zachary; three sisters, Deborah Marcoe, Gloria Green and Bernadette Rabarchak.
