Parkland grad

re-enlists

Jonathan J. Hunt, Petty Officer Second Class, E5, Aviation Machinists Mate, AD2, Aviation Warfare Specialist, stationed at Naval Air Station Lemoore, Calif., assigned to VFA 25 F18 fighter squadron, has recently re-enlisted for an additional four-year commitment.

He will serve at the Naval Air Station Whidbey Island, Wash.

Hunt was deployed in 2011 aboard the USS Carl Vinson Aircraft Carrier (CVN 70) in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation New Dawn.

He has earned the Navy and Marine Achievement Medal, Meritorious Unit Commendation Medal, Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Medal, Sea Service Medal, Sharp Shooter Medal, and Enlisted Aviation Warfare Specialist Wings.

He also serves on the Lemoore Naval Air Station Honor Guard.

The son of James and Sheryl Hunt of South Whitehall Township, he is a 2005 graduate of Parkland High School.

Air Force Airman Joshua R. Anderson graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.

Anderson completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Anderson is the son of Tricia L. and Jeremy R. Anderson, brother of Tyler D. Anderson and grandson of Daniel F. and Stephanie D. Heffelfinger, all of Allentown.

He is a 2014 graduate of Parkland High School, South Whitehall.

Army Pfc. Trista J. Fulmer has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C.

During the nine weeks of training, Fulmer studied the Army mission, history, tradition and core values, physical fitness, and received instruction and practice in basic combat skills, military weapons, chemical warfare and bayonet training, drill and ceremony, marching, rifle marksmanship, armed and unarmed combat, map reading, field tactics, military courtesy, military justice system, basic first aid, foot marches, and field training exercises.

Fulmer is the daughter of Robin and Todd Fulmer of Kempton, and granddaughter of Rosemary Falk of New Tripoli.

She is a 2014 graduate of Northwestern Lehigh High School, New Tripoli.
